How do you find joy in something you HATE??

So, I know it has been forever since I have posted anything and this isn't cute or exciting but I just need to write it somewhere. One thing that I have been thinking about ALOT lately is how bad I am at being a "housewife" I absolutely hate and find no joy in cleaning my house or doing laundry or cooking or any of that "mom" stuff. It is really frusterating not only for me but Chad too. He is great and will ignore it for a while then he goes crazy and has to have a frustrated day and clean everything up. Then I feel even worse that I let it get to that point. So basically it is somehting that I am going to try and work VERY hard on. I just really wish that I could figure out how to love it. (or at least not hate and dispise it so much) To add to the troiuble I'm BEYOND tired ALL the time. For you that don't know I'm pregnant again (due end of september) and I'm sick and tired all the time. But life has to go on and our house needs to be livable. Anyway I will stop grumbling and go do the dishes or something. I promise to post something fun soon.

What's for dinner this week?

So I haven't done a very good job at cooking as much as Chad would like. I have the hardest time coming up with what to cook, then when something does sound good I never have all of the ingredients. So Chad agreed that he would come up with options and even do the grocery shopping for them, if I would cook more. I am hoping it will work out ( and so is he)
So I decided that I would document what I cook incase that any of the 3 of you that read this have the same problem with ideas can have a couple more. Also i can look back and remember what we did and if it was any good.

Chicken and Broccoli curry
Taco Pie
Beef Strogonoff

i should probably put in recipes too but we'll see

PUMBP-PUMP (jackese for pumpkin)

I wanted to get the house clean and decorated for Halloween before I was layed up for a bit. I didn't want to do anything scary since there are so many little kids in our neighborhood, so I decided that I wanted a bunch of pumpkins to put around our porch. Our house is surrounded by fields and the ones that weren't corn are pumpkins. One in particular, a couple blocks down the street, is set up for kids to come and pick thier own pumpkins so off we went. I'm sure Chad and I had as much fun or more than Jack did and I have to admit that I probably went "a little" overboard, but I really like the final product.

I sent Chad on a quest to find the BIGGEST pumpkin he could find. He found the best ones in the far back corner (obviously noone else wanted to hike out that far) this is what he came back with.

I wanted all different sizes, shapes and colors, Chad was an awesome picker. There were so many varieties to choose from.
Jack finally got comfortable walking through all the vines and over the mounds of dirt that made up the rows and he was off on a quest of his own

.

This is the final product, Even thought I got a ton of pumpkins I still think I need a few more, a couple for the other side of the stairs and another big one to help hold up the straw. We'll have to see what else we can find.
I tried to get Jack to say "cheese" and he just kept covering his mouth

So we went for the classic "how big is Jack" at least his hands aren't over his face.
